Hello! Sorry I haven't updated this project in a while, I've been working on some changes and new features and I want to revamp a LOT about this project before uploading the next demo! Some of the changes will make the game a tiny bit harder, but I feel that extra difficulty is a necessary change. Some of the changes I've been experimenting with:

• Natsuko's sword combo's damage now scales with each successive slice; with the first dealing the least damage and the third dealing the most
• Shield hitboxes are now half the size, making them easier to keep!
• Some ESP abilities from bosses not in the game yet have been rebalanced and reworked, like the rising dragon having invincibility frames, and the bullet strike being able to one-shot large enemies like the walker in Volcanic Peak or the t-rex enemies in Jurassic Jungle. The soul slasher also unfortunately got a nerf cause it was WAY too good lmao
• Jump height has been slightly reduced and the level design was modified to accommodate for this change. Personally I really like this change cause it made the platforming feel a lot more engaging for such a relatively small change.

Another thing too, there is a second playable character planned!

There isn't much in her part of the game yet; just a test level and some basic abilities. I'm still debating whether or not I wanna have her go through the same levels as Natsuko or make completely new and original levels designed with her playstyle in mind. I'm definitely leaning more towards the latter cause that feels like it'll make the game WAY more replayable, though this will increase the dev time significantly.

I also have brand new promo art!

I've been wanting to redraw that old promo pic for a while cause I feel my art has improved a ton since then, plus this better represents what I have in store for this project as it develops with time. Anyways I hope you'll all keep following this project, and I hope that I can get a way better demo out in the future!
